Kronos

The rise of pirates

The pirate factions watched closely as you defied Empire mandates, seized control of planetary trade, and took the law into your own hands when their justice system failed you. The crumbling control of the Empire factions is now readily apparent, and those that had once hid in the shadows now seek to challenge your claim to space. It is pilot versus pirate, with the universe as the ultimate prize.

Mordu's legion

Confront the Mercenaries of Legend

It is not known how many pages of history have been written by the forces of Mordu's Legion, but the ones that do bear their name speak volumes. From its suppression of the uprising on Kamokor to the capture of and sanctuary for Templar One (the controversial first planetary clone), the Legion has become known to many as a force for freedom. To the government agencies and powerful factions that have hired them to handle all kind of matters, Mordu's Legion is one of the most efficient and well-connected mercenary companies money can buy.

Mordu's Legion has since made itself more visible, patrolling low-sec in ships designed from the ground up for the solo and small-fleet encounters common to pirate-riddled regions of space. The Legion's high-range warp disruption prevents enemy escape, and its exceptional speed, versatility, and missile capabilities allow its mercenaries to close in and take down prey with brutal efficiency.

Locate their operations in low security space, challenge their patrols, and take their technology by force. Use the might of Mordu's Legion to further your own cause in New Eden.

New Mining Frigate and Barges Rebalanced

Operate where danger often forbids

Outer Ring Excavations (ORE) has set out to capitalize on the success of its Venture mining frigate, currently one of the most popular ships in the universe, by introducing the Prospect an expedition frigate for miners that like life on the edge. ORE has also overhauled mining barges and exhumers, re-engineering them to update yield, capacity, and defense.

Gather resources faster with the Prospect's 100% increase in both mining laser and gas harvesting yields. Decrease your risk of being scanned down and travel farther faster with cloaking and covert cyno support, opening up new opportunities previously too dangerous to venture after. Break from the pack and bring adventure into your mining runs. Fortune favors the bold!

New Drone Modules and Skill Updates

Attack of the Drones

Drones, originally developed by the Gallente in the Caldari-Gallente War, have become a well-known presence in New Eden. Combat drones, in particular, are now established as a reliable primary weapon system.

This has led to the development of new drone support modules, expanding their power and versatility. To make drones more accessible to newer pilots in the wake of these advances, several drone skill requirements have been reduced.

Each faction's drones have their own strengths in combat. Gallente drones deliver thermal damage and are the slowest of the four faction drones, but their damage output is superior. Caldari drones deliver kinetic damage, dealing slightly less damage than the Gallente drones, but offer more speed. Amarr drones deliver electro-magnetic (EM) damage, with a good balance of speed and destruction. Minmatar drones deliver explosive damage. They deliver the lowest damage of the combat drones but make up for that with unrivaled speed.

Graphical and Audio Updates

Come and go with a bang

New slipstream effects and warp sounds make every entrance and exit epic. Station renovations update their appearance, making it easier to identify each station's controlling faction. Plus, solar flares and new ship designs bring the look and feel of the game even further into the future. In EVE Online, every aspect of the game is regularly updated, ensuring that you are always logging in to a modern MMO experience.

Your sound experience can now be tailored to exactly as you want it, with a fully-configurable audio menu allowing you to adjust almost every alert, effect or sound effect type.

New Ship Skins and Pilot Attire

Stand out in the crowd

It seems every corporation and faction is trying to make a name for themselves right now, and the New Eden Store has updated its inventory to help you do the same.

New paint jobs for four models of ships are now available. Grab attention, be the celebrity, and turn heads with a flashy new look for your favorite ship.

Aurum is now account-wide, allowing all your avatars access to a single Aurum wallet.

Low Security Space Updates

Brave the Empire's Dark Side

The prospects of low security areas within Empire space have grown. NPCs defending Factional Warfare complexes defend more relentlessly, returning to battle at a greater rate than ever before. Control points add to that challenge, now blocking cloaking devices at a range of up to 30 kilometers.

Wormholes in low security space have developed a curious pattern, displaying an increased likelihood of having other low or null security systems as their destination. Opportunistic military and merchant fleets would do well to seek out and make use of these "shortcuts" across hostile space. Covet their locations, or sell their coordinates to the highest bidder.
