Recent and unexpected advancements in various scientific fields have brought increased prosperity and improved quality of life to parts of society all over New Eden.
In our last article we outlined our intent to examine the effect these advances have had on daily life, the drawbacks they have brought with them, the risks they have engendered and the resulting damage.
Major advances have been made recently in various once-stagnant scientific fields, throughout all of civilized New Eden. While the full impact of these advances has yet to be measured, their effects, for good and ill, are already being felt at various levels of society.
Over the following days, we will present a brief overview of the current state of affairs.
The long running capsuleer organisation Red vs. Blue has over the past week seen unprecedented growth, increasing in membership by over a third. This news has been met with enthusiasm by the industrialists of their home region of Lonetrek, where demand for ships, modules and ammunition is at an all-time high.
YC 113.11.01 - YC 113.11.30
Further fighting in Delve this month saw the Goonswarm Federation alliance capture several more stations, taking five from Brick Squad. Morsus Mihi and Brick Squad seem to be drawing their attempt to take hold of parts of Delve to a close, with their activity in the region being far lower than in previous months.
YC 113.10.01 – YC 113.10.31
The situation this month was similar to September; whilst most sovereignty warfare occurred in the Catch region, Delve saw the highest level of ship losses. In Catch, further stations were lost by Against All Authorities (AAA) and their allies to the attackers, though AAA were able to re-secure multiple systems after losing them, namely N-8BZ6, YHN-3K and AOK-WQ.
Fighting in Delve has reached new heights, with 20,678 capsuleer vessels destroyed there this month.
YC 113.09.01 - YC 113.09.30
September saw continued pressure from White Noise, Red Alliance and their allies being put on Against All Authorities (AAA). AAA lost several stations, with a total of 16 stations falling to the attackers this month. Despite the amount of territory exchanging hands, the number of capsuleer ships being destroyed in the process was relatively low, totalling only 8,765 for the month compared to 19,420 in August.
Delve however has regained the top spot that it had held for several months prior to August, coming in at 17,733 ship losses there this month.
YC 113.08.01 - YC 113.08.31
August saw a large number of the alliances that make up the Drone Region Forces (DRF) coalition launch an assault on the Against All Authorities (AAA) alliance homeland of Catch. The key systems of HED-GP and GE-8JV have fallen to the DRF, with fighting causing a colossal 19,420 capsuleer vessels and structures to be destroyed by other capsuleers in Catch this month.
This level of fighting is the highest seen in the Catch region since CONCORD records began in late YC109, even though Catch is one of the most actively hostile regions in new eden with over nine thousand losses per month on average.
YC 113.07.01 - YC 113.07.31
This month saw elements of the DRF, primarily NC., Pandemic Legion and Raiden launch an attack on the Goonswarm Federation home region, Deklein. The primary goal is believed to have been to acquire a grasp on as many technetium rich moons as possible due to their immense income potential. The initial launch of the campaign saw limited success; however the attackers were rapidly repelled.
More missiles! Another mass test is being planned for testing missiles and other changes for Inferno on this Tuesday, the 15th of May, at 20:00 UTC.
Currently our Game Masters and developers are looking into an issue that causes some warning EVE mails and notifications that contain both dates and the name of a day (for example mails that remind you when a structure will come out of reinforced mode) to display inaccurate information.
The feature site for EVE Online's 17th free expansion, Inferno, has been launched.
More than any other expansion in EVE’s history, Inferno aims to shake up all levels of warfare in the 7,500 star systems in EVE’s massive universe.
Missiles! This will be the theme of the mass test on our test-server Singularity this Thursday, the 10th of May, at 20:00 UTC.

With less than two months remaining before Alliance Tournament X takes to your screens, we wanted to bring you details of how your alliance can qualify for this year’s event.

Ation - Nearly 750.000 Federation citizens were abducted from the Ation system by Sansha's Nation in a recent raid.
Yulai - As Sansha's Nation continues its raids into Empire space, the number of those abducted rises. While official numbers report over two million missing, the stark reality is that many of those abducted remain simply a number on a ledger.
"Approximately one million are reported missing from Schmaeel," stated a Kor-Azor family official tasked with keeping track of the raids.
Our universe of New Eden is expanding by leaps and bounds. We are witnessing a unique time in history when the opportunity to become a capsuleer is being offered to more cultures than ever before. Eve University is capitalizing on this with the addition of new divisions.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting with Kelduum Revaan, CEO of Eve University and CSM7 representative. Their organization is spearheading the welcoming of new capsuleers into New Eden with the formation of three new corporations targeting three major ethnic groups within New Eden - German, Russian, and Japanese, with possible corporate expansions into other New Eden ethnicities if these endeavors are successful. Each group will have its own CEO and command structure, all under the guidance and direction of Eve University.
"Progress has been slow but steady. Most of our work has been toward ensuring our frameworks we have can scale and support different languages, as well as selecting the Director of Operations for each of the new corporations.", stated Kelduum. "Our existing Ivy League Navy will be expanded to encompass the new corporations, and we are working on cross-language fleet communications protocols to allow non-native speakers to both lead and take part in fleets."
When asked about how the different cultures would coexist with their unique mannerisms and traditions, Kelduum had this to say, "The differing cultures are the reasons why we formed new corporations rather than have the new pilots within E-UNI itself. Differing languages are of course a major issue, but the core concepts of EVE University itself, cooperation, and sharing experience, is something that is common to most cultures."
Public relations, and publicity have been slow but steady according to Kelduum, however Eve University has a significant list of capsuleers standing by to assist the new pilots in their native languages.
For now, the community should keep an eye on the UniWiki and watch for announcements about content which is flagged for translation.
