Lighting the invention bulb

With Crius we deployed our first step in rebalancing industry in EVE Online. It was a tremendous challenge to overcome, as we did nothing short but to start anew with the implementation of industry and its user interface, all the while making sure design changes would still support one the most fundamental systems of the game without breaking everything. (click image to enlarge) While there are iterations still left to undertake, the results look satisfying so far.

Sharing is caring - Overview improvements with Hyperion

By CCP karkur
| Comments

In Hyperion (Aug 26th) we are introducing a change that will allow you to share overviews in the game with any pilot in New Eden. This has been requested quite often and ties in very well with improving tools for player groups and those who want to share setups with their friends. We think new players and veterans alike will benefit from a new, comprehensive means of sharing overview settings in-game, as well as importing and exporting them. The shareable overview profiles will contain all the ...

An Update on Bug Reporting, Part 3

By CCP Goliath
| Comments

Hi all, CCP Goliath here to go over the work that CCP Tier has been doing on the bug reporting service. When we launched the service almost a year ago, we knew that it was missing two vital components: the ability to communicate between players and developers/volunteers and the ability to see and edit your bug report. While these missing features certainly didn‘t slow players down when it came to submitting reports, nor developers and volunteers while processing them, there was still a clear ne...

EVE Industry - All you want to know

By CCP Greyscale

Greetings space-Rockefellers, This blog is going to go over everything we're doing with research and costs in Crius, to explain the "final form" of what we're shipping so you can see everything that's happening in one place, and to act as long-form release documentation (the patchnotes of course go into significant bullet-pointed detail). If something relating to cost or research is not listed here, then it isn't happening, even if it was mentioned in a previous blog or post. M.E.

Principles of Industry in EVE Online

By CCP Greyscale
| Comments

This is not a feature blog, but rather a view of the bigger picture, of what we're up to and what you can expect out of it. Coming into this industry work, we had two main goals. Firstly, industry should be easy to understand. Once you've decided what you want to do, it should be obvious how you do it.
