I’m 0BAKEE(Cody), and I’ve been playing EVE Online since about 2009. Most of my experience today is in lowsec, small-gang and solo PvP, piracy, and Faction Warfare, but over the years I’ve also spent time mining, hauling, living in nullsec, and experiencing EVE from the perspective of a fairly ordinary player trying to make their way in New Eden. I’m running for CSM because I want to bring a bit of an outsider perspective to the table. The large blocs deserve representation, but so do the small corporations, independent pilots, pirates, Faction Warfare players, industrialists, and highsec miners who make up so much of the everyday life of EVE. My campaign focuses on three priorities: Risk and reward, unstructured PvP, and new-player retention. At the center of all three is one idea: Players need reasons to undock, interact with each other, and care about what happens when they do. I want to protect the sandbox that makes EVE unique, keep player-created conflict meaningful, and help ensure that the new players joining today are still here years from now creating the stories and fights that keep New Eden alive. If elected, I want to be accessible, transparent within the limits of the NDA, willing to listen, and willing to change my mind when someone brings better information. Eve online is a game unlike any other game. So many world skills factor into playing the game of Eve online. I would like to help shape the future of eve online while supporting the players within bringing my experiences as a player. While first introduced to the game in 2009 I can say I made a many mistakes. I revisited the game again in 2012 and again I was caught up in day one newbie bashing. One of the worst things that can happen to you in this game is be stalked and destroyed as a new player by those already established in the game. This experience has always stuck with me in New Eden.
