Fourth Annual New Year's Fireworks Display

Snowball Fights Continue to Break Out Across New Eden

by ISD Tedra Kerrigan The sudden appearance of snowball-firing 'Festival Launchers' in many pilots' inventory - apparently a gift from the mysterious Polaris-based alliance C C P - has led to an upsurge in random attacks in many parts of New Eden. Trade hubs seem to be heavily affected, with Jita and Amarr seeing periodic outbreaks of snowball-related violence, but no system has escaped unscathed.

Extended downtime on Thursday, December 20 and Christmas gifts

Downtime on Thursday, December 20 will run from 12:00 UTC to 12:30 UTC instead of the normal 11:00 UTC time slot. As a result we will be seeding all of the gifts promised to players from this blog at 12:30 UTC. All gifts will be available through the redeeming system at this time. In addition, following an unprovoked attack on Santa Claus, the Yule Lads have decided to make amends by adding a special treat to the redeeming slots of every active paid subscriber.

Downtime pushback cancelled

On Wednesday December 19 downtime will start an hour later than usual, or at 12:00 UTC. The duration of the downtime will remain the same as always and we will reserve 30 minutes to finish running all the necessary downtime tasks and cleanups. Due to database issues experienced today on the 18th of December, we will not be pushing the downtime back by one hour on Wednesday the 19th of December. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Skill Point Reimbursment for Jump Clone Issue

Hello everyone. Recently we discovered a bug where individuals who jump cloned and quickly changed session (through docking and undocking) would find their attributes no longer applying to skill training, causing a sharp increase in training times. A hotfix was deployed for this issue on December 11th, but numerous individuals were still effected by the bug. As a result, we have decided to reimburse all affected players by granting them 75.600 SP into their unallocated skill queue after the reg...

December 9th is here, the most interesting day in New Eden history

In his devblog on December 3rd, CCP t0rfifrans announced that EVE Online was among 14 games that the Museum of Modern Art had acquired for an exhibition. In order to fully demonstrate the complexity of EVE Online in this format CCP t0rfifrans asked you, our players, to make December 9th the most interesting day in the history of New Eden and capture it to be immortalized forever in the halls of the MoMA. CCP Fleet has departed from Polaris

According to Kjersidur Elladall, the CEO of the Directive Enforcement Department, a CCP fleet was detected leaving the Polaris system this morning. The fleet is rumored to be highly organized with a mass of battleship class vessels and logistic support. Capsuleers in New Eden should remain alert.
