The Tuskers host frigate free for all

The Tuskers corporation is running a frigate free for all this weekend open to the entire EVE community. The event is aimed at encouraging rookie players into PvP combat and will take place between 20:00 and midnight New Eden Standard time on Saturday October 27th, with 3 billion ISK in prizes available including ships ranging from Tech 1 frigates to Faction Battleships. Special Anniversary Edition EVE Portraits Competition

ISP maintenance notification

One of our major upstream ISP, gt-t, is doing emergency mainteanance work on October 24, starting at 22:00 UTC to 05:00 UTC. This maintenance work could impact users connected to EVE Online and could cause disconnects. Please note that this emergency maintenance is completely outsides CCP's influence and that this notification is a precaution as it is not guaranteed that you will be affected.

Temporary problems with a few payment methods

We are experiencing temporary issues with a few of the payment methods we offer when customers are either upgrading existing trial accounts, or paying for new accounts. This is not affecting any recurring subscriptions or accounts that have been paid for previously. The symptoms are that the affected accounts get disabled the moment they are paid for.

API Migration to HTTPS Complete

On Wednesday October 17th, we completed the switch from HTTP to HTTPS for traffic to the api.eveonline.com as announced earlier in this devblog: http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=73407. We have also improved the API infrastructure backend. If you run any services that utilize the API such as killboards or other services such as mentioned in the devblog and have not updated to the new API address, it will no longer be functional until you complete the update.

EVE Online: Inferno 1.3 has been deployed

EVE Online: Inferno 1.3 has been successfully deployed on Tranquility on October 16, 2012. This latest update brings numerous graphical fixes and continues to build a solid framework for the future integration of DUST 514 into the EVE Online universe such introducing first planetary district graphics, planetary district satellites and an improved EVE chat.

EVE Online: Inferno 1.3 to be deployed on October 16

EVE Online: Inferno 1.3 is scheduled for deployment during an extended downtime on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Downtime will begin at 11:00 UTC and is expected to be completed at 12:35 15:15 UTC. EVE Online: Inferno 1.3 introduces a multitude of fixes and improvements to EVE Online.

Incorrect items seeded during deployment of Inferno 1.3

During the deployment of EVE Online: Inferno 1.3, several DUST 514 items were incorrectly seeded on the market on Tranquility. When a player attempts to buy such an item an error message will appear due to the fact that these items are not purchasable. No ISK will be removed from a player’s wallet when the transaction fails. These items were not intended to be visible on the market and will be removed during downtime on Wednesday, October 17th.
