Alliance Tournament VI Qualifying Rounds Continue

The qualifying rounds for Alliance Tournament VI are continuing today. Eight of the sixteen fights scheduled for today have been completed and results can be found in the link below. Despite the Ishtar still making an appearance in several teams we are now seeing a variety of ships and classes. Those teams that have attempted to field Ishtar setups have met with varing amounts of resistance.

Seppuku Warriors Brings Advanced Combat Training to Capsuleers

STACMON - Seppuku Warriors corporation have recently announced their first advanced combat training course. The all-star instructor line-up aims to teach capsuleers "how to blow stuff up". Sabre A, CEO and former Eve University Mentor, founded Seppuku to offer "hands on" combat training. Pilots will be flying under "Not Blue Shoot It" (NBSI) rules of engagement, attacking any available target.

BIG Betting: Technical Difficulties No Cause For Panic

Pilots who placed bets on Alliance Tournament VI matches through BIG experienced some concern when the "My Bets" section of the BIG site failed to update to show their bets. BIG representative Voltaire Leriel issued a public statement on GalNet yesterday assuring punters that their bets were safe. "We are fully aware of all of your concerns and are experiencing techinal difficulties with our betting system.

EVE Online: Quantum Rise 1.0.5 will be deployed this Tuesday, 27th January, 2009. Downtime is schduled to start at 11.00 GMT and is expected to to be extended until 12.15 GMT. The patch introduces the new Redeeming System along with various fixes.

Day 2, Round 1 Qualifying for the 6th Alliance Tournament is complete. Statistics are being compiled, and all battle reports for the past two days can be found on GalNet. A wide variety of ship choices and tactics were used to varying degrees of success.

Day 1 of the first Qualifying round has come to a close. The first 32 teams of the 64 vying for a spot in the Finals have completed their matches, and the next 32 will be fighting tomorrow. Of the 16 matches today, 7 included teams that used some variation of the same-ship-class tactic that Match 2 winner Against ALL Authorities used.

Alliance Tournament Six Begins This Weekend!

The Sixth Alliance Tournament is now upon us! This weekend the 24th & 25th of January will be the first of 3 weekend's worth of action with 64 teams all competing to become the Eve Alliance Champions! Matches will start at 15:00 Eve Time (GMT) on both Saturday & Sunday and will go on into the evening finishing around 21:00.

Otsasai – Caldari Navy Logistics Command today released the results of a study calculating the continuing costs of the occupation of Caldari Prime, revealing grim figures for continuing naval readiness. Nearly 15% of the fleet's transport capacity is permanently tied to keeping Navy and Provist troops supplied on the planet, with the total resource allocation for the occupation nearly 50% higher than that of a similarly-sized naval task force.

Force of Evil Alliance Reforms

L-A5XP, Fountain - In reports last month on the return of Celtic Anarchy corporation, founder SkyFox stated "[The possibility of] rebuilding the Force of Evil alliance is something that is always under discussion..." State Fleet Destroyed in Ishomilken

A State Protectorate fleet was annihilated early this week by a Federal Defence force led by Mitch Taylor. Reports indicate a 10:1 kill ratio with 42 ships destroyed (including a dozen pods) and only 4 losses. Seizing on an opportunity to destroy a control tower coming out of reinforced mode in Notoras, Mitch Taylor assembled a fleet of approximately 65 pilots.
