Patch Deployment Rescheduled

By Svarthol

The patch scheduled for the downtime on 30 August has been delayed. Some of the elements included in the patch were not tested sufficiently, including support for international languages with special characters, changes to the EVE mail system, and server/node stability. The patch has now has a tentative deployment date of 6 September. While this delay may make some of our users unhappy, we feel it is better to release a stable and issue free patch than introduce more issues. Patch Notes will be ...

SINQ LAISON. In yet another convoy attack this week, a CONCORD courier mission transporting the corpses of two Guristas terrorists was intercepted at Rancer early Sunday. Though Guristas forces managed to destroy the transport vessel, the cargo was safely returned to CONCORD by a passer-by loot collector. Freelance pilot Horus UK happened to show up in scene after a Guristas – CONCORD battle in the Rancer system left the loot of a destroyed CONCORD Crane floating in space.

Last evening, some players were not able to pay for their game subscriptions, purchase an E-ON subscription, pay for character transfers, etc. The issue has been resolved and the billing system is back to normal. Some internal changes in our ISP's network caused instances of packetloss between the billing software and the billing company.

By Svarthol

The Col system, sources have recently revealed, was the site for an eventful skirmish between a small force of Amarr Navy ships, led by Rezini Hazaza, and a Khanid patrol. The Khanid patrol was led by Daro Hanau, a pilot serving with the Dark Amarr for almost three years. Both sides of the scuffle rallied support from the pod pilots in system, but to the great surprise of the Amarr Navy ships that were left badly damaged after the fight, these pilots turned their guns on the Navy amid shouts of ...

The first Outpost, foundation for a new empire.

By Svarthol

In the system 5P-AIP it can be found, the privately owned outpost of Ascendant Frontier. It looks compact but can house the entire alliance and has all the luxuries a lonely pilot could want, including Quafe and a brothel, advertising in neon pink of course. A short interview was granted by Prometheus Wrong, the man who gave the station and the entire project its name.

Something is rotting in Jita

By Svarthol

A week has passed since the Takamatsu Trading Exchange began collecting garbage from the systems neighboring Jita, Sobaseki, and Kisogo. What began as a simple job to haul the garbage of the Caldari navy has turned into something larger, as anyone can tell if they dock at the Caldari navy Assembly Plant orbiting Jita IV. "This is absolutely awful," complained one officer.

Cluster startup problems solved - back to normal

By Svarthol

Earlier today we had to restart the cluster to address the petition system problems, players could not contact customer support. Although the petitions were fixed, the restart was not done properly so we had to restart again to address the lag which occurred. However, the problem was more complex, the load balancing and intra-cluster connections went haywire when so many people reconnected.

Amarr Tensions

By Svarthol

As tensions between the Khanid Kingdom and CONCORD rise, we are left wondering how the Amarrian people are taking this. One source within the Amarr Navy, one that wishes to remain anonymous, claims that tensions between individuals that believe in CONCORD’s leaked memorandum and those that don’t are the direct result of the lack of information forthcoming on Emperor Doriam II’s assassination. The source, a fairly well-off officer, claims that certain factions within the Navy are less then happy ...

Family Strife within Race Team Dragon Theft, Accomplice Killed

By Svarthol

One of the few seemingly universal truths across the world of EVE is that all families are home to their fair share of conflict, with the owning family of the Team Dragon race team being no exception.
