Caldari Alliance Championship, the Last day

The final battle was held yesterday at midnight between Band of Brothers and Kaos Empire. Before this last fight of the tournament, the two alliances both had to fight their way through the quarters and semi finals of the championship, encountering well known alliances such as Red Alliance, the Five, The R0ck and Tribal Souls.

Caldari Championships, the Second Day

The second and third rounds of the Caldari alliance championship were held yesterday and the teams were clearly better matched against each other. Witnessing many thrilling fights and spectacular tactics, we have seen some of the world's most expensive ships being used. The losses are estimated at several billion ISK with still one more day to go. The Rock showed up in the second round using one of the rarest ships in New Eden; the Imperial Armageddon.

Caldari Championships, the First Day

Yesterday saw the first round of the Alliance Championships. Organized by the Caldari Gaming Commission, held in an undisclosed system. The matches proved to be exiting affairs with sometimes surprising results, stunning competitors, onlookers and gamblers alike. There were five teams who scored a flawless victory against their opponents.

Betting Services Open for Business

Tensions are rising as only one day remains until the start of the alliance fighting tournament. Voices have been sounding from all over, trying to guess the outcome of the event, and some teams have been revealed as definite favorites by the public. Caldari State Plays Host to Capsuleer Tournament

Earlier today, the Caldari Gaming Commission announced their plans to host the largest capsuleer fighting tournament since the Amarr Championships. Announcing the names of the sixty-four alliances eligible to compete, a state official said “We are expecting to see some of the worlds most skilled fighters at this event, the capsuleer alliances have tremendous strength and our main interest lies in seeing who will come out on top.” With surprisingly little time for preparation, each alliance must ...

Warning - Bugged module

The 'Mangonel' Heat Sink I has a 1.85 damage mod instead of the intended 1.085 damage mod. This will be fixed as soon as possible, but unfortunately not right away. Until then, all use of this module in combat, NPC or player versus player will be deemed an exploit. Players caught using the module will face a ban.

Server Hotfixes deployed in downtime today Tuesday

We're deploying a number of hotfixes in todays downtime to address some of the performance bugs we're experiencing on Tranquility. We usually do not announce deployment of hotfixes, since we do them almost every day, but this time one of the hotfixes is addressing a performance bug in Criminal Flagging.

Northern allies G and IRON withdraw from the south

Last week saw the organised withdrawal of G & IRON forces from the ASCN territories of Impass and Feythabolis, following several weeks of fierce fighting in the southern fringe regions. The conflict, which has in recent weeks seen much coverage and interest on the GalNet communications network, has sparked considerable speculation regarding the reasons for the unexpected move.

EVE CS status report

Reporting in from GM HQ, deep within the Polaris system, this is GM Arkanon. We now have a few thousand cases in our queue, which is not too bad, all things considered. It's still bad, though and means that we can not answer everyone within our standard 24 hours first reply time. We are working hard to get the queue back to normal and we ask for your patience in the meanwhile.

Fixing Update: Most crash bugs adressed yesterday, now focusing on performance bugs

Yesterday, after a number of reboots for deploying server hotfixes and doing a number of changes to our database cluster, we were able to address the bugs which were crashing Tranquility. We're now in a situation where there are a number of bugs which are severely affecting server-side CPU performance which is the reason you are experiencing severe lag in loaded systems.

Rebooting and doing changes to our database (Updated)

Update:Tranquility crashed shortly after this reboot, we deployed further hotfixes and did more changes in our database layer. We were back up by 22:00 GMT the latest changes seem to have fixed a number of issues. We are still monitoring the situation. We rebooted Tranquility today since there were hundreds of people getting stuck every hour.

Red Moon Rising Deployment Delay

A triple tested database update went wrong during one of the recent test versions. As a result, it is necessary to revise the deployment time frame while we resolve this issue. The tentative Tranquility return to service is being moved back to midnight, GMT. This is a delay of four hours. We apologize for the delay to deployment.

Red Moon Rising Deployment Information

Red Moon Rising, CCP's free content and improvement expansion for EVE Online, will be deployed on Wednesday, 14 December. At 2000 GMT, Tranquility will be taken down. Due to the size of this deployment, we are estimating the update will take approximately 24 hours. We will do everything possible to hit this target, but if there are unforseen issues, the downtime may extend beyond that time period.

Mind Control Prototype Fails

Late last night the fugitive Caldari scientists, Albert Vance and Vic Stats, broadcast what was ultimately a failed test of their prototype mind control device using the Caldari ftl communication channel. Caldari State pilots, engaging in typical Caldari pod pilot banter, were surprised by the appearance of the ident code of Albert Vance in the monitored Caldari channels late yesterday evening.

At 23:23 on Sunday night YZ-LQL was buzzing with com chatter. Admiral Rembran of the Serpentis Corporation had entered the system with a small group of support ships on a “routine” patrol. The Admiral, flying a Moros dreadnought, conveyed the patrol's intentions in the local communication system. Two outposts change ownership in one day

Three alliances took over two outposts today in AZN-D2, Feythabolis and in JU-OWQ, Deklein. BoB was responsible for taking control of the outpost located in JU-OWQ, which was owned by IRON. G and Iron took over the ASCN outpost in AZN-D2 after weeks of preparation. The system AZN-D2 has been a hotspot for weeks and every day there were fights between ASCN and the G and IRON forces.

We have been working hard on testing Red Moon Rising (RMR) - which is tentatively scheduled for deployment next week. Besides all the new content in RMR, we've been working hard on optimizations too, especially since the EVE universe continues to grow at a faster rate than we have ever seen before. Recently, we deployed server optimization hotfixes seperate from optimizations made in RMR.

Mordu's Legion to strengthen its Pureblind position

PURE BLIND. As part of their relocation strategy, Mordu's Legion has recalled its 5th Dreadnought 'Night Stalkers' Task Force to the Legion's HQ in 5ZXX-K, putting the 'Night Stalkers' commander Colonel Akuras in charge of the whole Mordu's Pure Blind Fleet. The highly specialized strike unit was transferred to the Pure Blind theatre "to strengthen the Legion's presence in our claimed space", according to Mordu's Command COO Jasolbold Adralkhan.
