Dear customers, some of you have pointed out that at times communication about technical difficulties and problems is slow and inefficient. We just wanted to let you know we are working on improving that. As a general rule news items are published here only on very urgent issues. These news pages were originally intended more for roleplayed news about events and happenings inside EVE although sadly of late urgent issues have been dominant.

Server back up

We want to apologize for the inconvenience players have been experiencing for the past few hours. Apparently there was a power outage where the servers are housed in London, and it took some time to restore. The server is now back up and we hope that there won´t be any further mishaps.

Cluster being rebooted

Dear customers, the cluster is being rebooted after a power failure. The broken switch has been replaced and the servers will be up again at aproximately 22:00. Hopefully things will gradually return to normal now.

Unsafe systems!

The current crisis is leaving a lot of players stuck in various solar systems. New Caldari, Amarr and Yulai are the worst and the Highway system seems to be causing problems too. Please try and avoid using the Highway system if possible and stay out of the systems mentioned as going there will most likely get you stuck.

Technical problems update!

This just in from the server people. The problem has been traced to a broken switch on the server cluster. Repairs are under way but will unfortunately take a while. It will hopefully not take more than a couple of hours to fix. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Technical problems for GMs!

Dear players, The GMs are experiencing some serious technical difficulties at the moment and are unable to answer any petitions or move stuck characters to set them free. The problem is being worked on with utmost importance and hopefully the situation will be under control soon but until then we ask that you bear with us and we´ll do our very best to get you unstuck once the problem is fixed.

Server lag and node crashes

Due to excess strain on core routers around Europe because of recent virus infections, critical routing protocols are not getting through. We should have solved the problem for now, and will keep a close eye on the situation over the weekend. Please try to avoid taking unnecessary risks until further notice, as we can not rule out further network problems because of this unfortunate situation.

Sensor boosters CTD fix

We are going to take down the cluster @ 15.00 GMT to fix the sensor boosters CTD. The cluster should only be down for 20 minutes. There is a new client patch (1166) that has only changes in the audio.

Using Sensor boosters causes CTD. Exploiters face a ban.

We have repeatedly asked players not to use sensor boosters as they can cause CTD and seriously spoil gameplay. As some seem to have taken this as a licence to do just that, we want to make it clear that we do consider this an exploit and we have banned players without warning for using it. We once again urge you to show consideration for your fellow players and not use these modules.

Rens system unsafe!

The Rens solar system is causing trouble and quite a few players are stuck there now. Please try and avoid Rens if possible and check the routes of autopilot to stear clear for the time being. Entering the Rens system will most likely leave players stuck there for a while. Thank you.

Yong Residents Report Conflict

Colony residents of the icy planet Yong III reported a great battle in the skies, Sunday. Tracking systems identified many ships, of varied make - several of which were appearantly destroyed. Debris rained down upon the nearby planet in a firey astronomical display, reportedly damaging a wasteland relay station.

CONCORD Issues Travel Advisory

In a statement from Admiral Baryn today, CONCORD issued an emergency travel advisory for the Jakemhih and Kashag constellations, Domain region. "A large number of unprovoked pirate attacks have been reported in those systems," Baryn said. "The identities of the attackers remains unconfirmed, but in all cases the attacks were swift, merciless, and with superior firepower." CONCORD warns that any pilots in the area may be putting themselves at risk.

Cluster down

We are working feverishly on resolving the situation and expect things to go back to normal within the next two hours.
