Community Spotlight: Declarations of War

By CCP Eterne
| Comments

There have been many EVE podcasts over the years. Some have come and gone. Others have endured, but have never quite found their footing. But one of the oldest and most respected EVE Online podcasts we have is the Declarations of War podcast. Run by former CSM representative Alekseyev Karrde, the podcast has been providing players a focused look at PvP and 0.0 for over three years now. History Back in 2010, there were several EVE podcasts, but they were not quite what Alekseyev was looking for.

Our first set of sessions, on PVP, was held from mid-October to the week before Rubicon's release and culminated in a large PVP roam attended by roughly 200 playe...

Community Spotlight: Pyfa

By CCP Eterne

Having a competent fitting on your ship is important. But when you're in EVE, you can't easily theory craft. There is no tool that lets you see how your ship would perform if you only had that deadspace module on it, or are under the effects of a fleet booster, or just had another level in Advanced Weapon Upgrades.

By CCP Masterplan

Greetings, Warp Enthusiasts! Today I'm going to talk a bit about some of the math behind the warp speed changes coming with Rubicon (and I'm going to do it using graphs, which are vital to any good dev blog!) Getting into PvP can be a little bit like diving into a pool in the pitch black. Sure, there's a chance you'll perform an elegant dive and emerge in graceful fashion. But you also might accidentally crash head-first into the shallow end, miss and bash your teeth in on the ladder out, or it might not have any water in it whatsoever.
