CCP Now Accepting Russian Rubles and Payment via Yandex.Money for EVE Online
Popular online game opens doors even wider to well-represented Russian players
CCP Games, one of the world’s leading independent game studios, has begun taking Russian Rubles (RUB) as a payment option for their award-winning sci-fi massively multiplayer online game, EVE Online. The subscription fee is set at 399 RUB per month, with no charge for expansions or patch upgrades.
In addition, players can now pay for their EVE Online subscription via the popular payment solution Yandex.Money.
In EVE Online’s massive universe of hundreds of thousands of spaceship pilots from around the world, players hailing from Russia have consistently been well represented and fly with some of the most dangerous, competitive and profitable alliances in the history of the game.
“It is amazing to look back at the contributions of our Russian community over the years,” said Jon Lander, EVE Online’s executive producer. “They’ve expertly played hero and villain depending on who encounters them. We hope to attract more players from that part of the world to make the EVE universe an even more interesting, deadly place.”
The EVE Online client is currently available with Russian translation and it receives specialized support from Russian-speaking customer service representatives.

A Pilot License Extension (PLEX) is an item purchased directly from CCP that can either add 30 days of game time to an EVE Online account or be traded on the EVE market to other players for in-game currency. PLEX offers an alternative way for people to pay for their subscription without the use of more conventional payment methods. Using PLEX, pilots can earn game time simply by playing EVE.
