Happy Holidays!Greetings again Capsuleers,

Greetings again Capsuleers,

the genolution ca-2 implant is yours to redeem

It's time for more delicious brain implants. After downtime on Dec 12th and running through Dec 21st , you will find  the Genolution CA-2 available via the redemption system. Be sure to log in and redeem yours, the set bonus is pretty darn nice overall.

As an added bonus, we will also be unveiling the 2011 Holiday Gift during the same period. This will work just a bit differently than prior holiday gifts. There will be a list of items in your Account Management queue. You can choose one, and only one, gift from the list. That gift will then be made available in the redemption system on Dec 22nd.

REMINDER: GIFTS MUST BE SELECTED BY DECEMBER 21ST, 2011

Greetings Fashionistas,

A simply divine feature is making its way to you this winter, and we just can't wait to tell you all about it!

The Avatar Viewer does exactly as the name suggests: it allows you to view an animated, full body render of the character or agent you are inspecting, complete with camera controls and their latest clothing choices.

Happy Holidays!Greetings again Capsuleers,

Crucible is here. It has new nebulae, new ships, scalable UI, lots of balancing lots of cool features and a plethora of tweaks and fixes. It’s been a long few months of getting back to the roots of EVE, and we hope this shows you, the players, our direction for the foreseeable future. We’re going to be evaluating new approaches over the next year to get new people to EVE, and we’re launching the first one right now this holiday season.

Later today, you’ll find something new in Account Management: a transferable 60 day trial game code. This is a new special form of trial, one of many we’re going to play with. We’ll talk about the 'why’s' in a second, but first here are the rules:

I remember trails in EVE. A long time ago we really had them. In my memory they were cool. And beautiful. So I installed Empyrean Age again and played a little bit on one of our reference servers, “Classic client” of course. And it was then I realized that the old trails were actually really cool, but not exactly what I would call beautiful. Take a look, does this bring back memories?

Corp Locations (Bookmarks)As some of you might know we've been working on something called Corp Locations (formerly called corp bookmarks). The concept is quite simple really. Once Crucible is released, you will be able to share your bookmarks with your corp so anyone in the corp can see them and use them. Well, you're not exactly sharing them, what you are really doing is copying them and giving them to the corp. There is a little bit more to it than that though.

Hi!
I‘m going to tell you about a few of the UI improvements team BFF have been working on for Crucible.

Corporation Wallet Tooltip
For pilots who manage corporation wallets it can be handy to see the corporation wallet balance when you hover on the wallet button in the Neocom, instead of your personal wallet balance. We added a setting for those pilots, in the settings tab in the wallet, so they can choose to see the selected corporation wallet division‘s balance when they hover over the wallet button.

Hi all, this is CCP Anthelios along with CCP Soulblighter, CCP Booster, and CCP Space Cadet. We are all programmers working in the Atlanta office on the World of Darkness project. During recent planning we discovered that we had a unique opportunity. We had about 3 weeks of downtime before starting up our next project and were asked if we would like to help out with Crucible, the Winter 2011 EVE expansion. We (all being EVE players) accepted and were formed into Team Papercuts with one goal: Get as many cool features as possible into EVE in only 3 weeks. We decided to each work independently on as many small features as possible rather than trying to tackle something huge. The following is the account of our headfirst plunge into EVE…

Hi there. I am CCP Mannapi from the TriLambda team, aka the space art people. We are working on the new nebulas, with the goal of adding a sense of direction and location to the world of Eve.

When looking at the flattened star map you have the concept of north, south, west and east. To see which direction you are facing you can open the mini map (F11) and look at the cone of vision. With the new nebulas you can be to the east of, let’s say, the cloud ring phenomenon and look west, and see the cloud ring nebula.
